Myra is a highly respected educational leader with nearly 25 years of extensive experience in international education; she combines profound subject teaching expertise with robust school management skills. She has established long-standing professional strengths in curriculum development, team building, and home-school communication. She is highly proficient in the construction and implementation management of mainstream international curricula, including IB, A Level, AP and DSE.
Myra graduated from Beijing Normal University and holds an International Professional Certificate in School Leadership from University College London (UCL). As an IB Workshop Leader and Examiner, she brings a wealth of experience in IB curriculum assessment and teacher training.
In 2021, Myra joined ISA Liwan as a founding core member, serving as Secondary Principal and Later Deputy Head of Wenhua School (International), playing a pivotal role in the campus’s successful launch from its inception. She pioneered the exploration of integrated and innovative curriculum models, leading IB and Cognia accreditations, constructing diverse educational pathways tailored to individual student developmental needs. The first graduating cohort achieved outstanding university placement results, effectively expanding the school's brand influence in the Greater Bay Area. While serving concurrently at other ISA campuses, she demonstrated exceptional leadership in cross-campus collaboration.
Prior to joining ISA, Myra worked at a prominent internation school in Guangdong for nearly 20 years, holding progressive leadership roles including Subject Head, DP Coordinator, and Vice Principal of the International High School. She successfully led the school through four IB five-year evaluations, including a joint evaluation of the PYP, MYP, and DP. The IBDP international examination average score exceeded 40 points under her leadership. Her students have gained admission to world-renowned universities, with over 90% securing placements at the world's top 50 universities, including Oxford, Cambridge, Ivy League schools, and many others.
Myra firmly believes that every student is a unique individual. Her current strategic focus at ISA Science City will be the development and implementation of curriculum including super curriculum, co-curriculum, language support program and DSE Program.
Rovanna Bawden
Director of Student Support & DSE ESL Teacher
Rovanna comes from Australia and has worked extensively in other big international schools across six countries, most recently at the International School of Macao and the Western Academy of Beijing.
She has a Master of Education in Inclusive Education and a Master of Education in Guidance and Counselling, and her expertise is in supporting families and students who require individual programming.
At ISASC, she will develop the Student Support Team which will grow to include pastoral care, English as an Additional Language, Learning Support, and Counselling services for students.
She believes that ISASC will be a school where all students can be successful given the right conditions, and with individualized support, all students can reach and even exceed their full potential.
Tammy Yang
DSE Programme Coordinator
Tammy currently serves as the DSE Programme Coordinator of ISA Science City International School, dedicating herself to the overall operation and development of DSE Programme.
Tammy is a seasoned education professional with 15 years of extensive experience, having held a number of key positions in the education sector, including Teaching Director, Head of an International Curriculum Centre, and Head of the Senior Secondary Division at a school for Hong Kong & Macao students. She has consistently demonstrated outstanding educational leadership and professional competence.
Tammy holds a Master's degree from The Education University of Hong Kong. Earlier in her career, she served as Academic Director at a language tutoring centre, as Head of the International Programme at a public school in Changde, and as Head of the International Curriculum at a well-known public school in Foshan. She later took on the role of Head of the Senior Secondary Division at a school for Hong Kong & Macao students.
Since 2018, Tammy has been engaged in HKDSE English teaching and the management of international curriculum centres. She has accumulated substantial experience in HKDSE curriculum planning, HKDSE English teaching and exam preparation, and university application counselling for HKDSE students. In 2023, Tammy assumed the position of Head of the Senior Secondary Division at a school for Hong Kong & Macao students, where she has overall responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the senior secondary division, including HKDSE curriculum coordination, teacher recruitment and staff management, student affairs, and guidance on further studies.
Siri Su
DSE Biology & Chemistry Teacher
With a master’s degree in Environmental Health Sciences from the University of Queensland and a bachelor’s in Plant Protection from Southwest University, Siri brings a strong foundation in natural sciences and years of experience in bilingual international education. She is fully proficient in delivering lessons in English across chemistry curricula.
Her teaching approach is student-centered and outcome-driven, combining differentiated instruction with inquiry-based learning and competition integration. Her students consistently show significant academic improvement.
Siri has long served as the head coach for international Biology and Chemistry Olympiads, guiding students in competitions such as USABO, BBO, ICCO, CCC, Brain Bee, and Biology HOSA. Her students have maintained multiple gold, silver, and bronze medals, as well as national-level qualifications. She has been recognized as "Outstanding Competition Coach" on multiple occasions.
Beyond the classroom, Siri is passionate about fostering scientific curiosity and helping students build confidence in their learning. She believes in a growth-oriented approach that values both academic achievement and personal development. She has also participated in research projects involving microplastic migration and pesticide resistance gene studies, and continues to engage in professional development and curriculum design to inspire young learners to become thoughtful, globally minded individuals.
She firmly believes that gold is not the only thing that glows — every metal has its own unique flame colour. This philosophy guides her teaching, as she strives to help every student discover their own strengths and shine in their own way.
Christopher Fang
DSE Maths and Physics Teacher
Christopher graduated from the University of Birmingham in the UK, holding a Master's degree in Financial Management and a Bachelor's degree in Food Safety Engineering. He achieved a perfect score in GMAT mathematics. As a middle school mathematics and science teacher in ISA, Christopher has over three years of experience in bilingual teaching in an international system, being proficient in IGCSE, A-Level and DSE courses.
Christopher advocates the interdisciplinary teaching philosophy of combining theory with practice and understanding the essence, and is skilled at integrating financial and science and technology knowledge into the classroom, breaking down disciplinary barriers and effectively combining the latest knowledge content with modern scientific development. His teaching style is warm and lively, understanding the psychology of teenagers, and emphasizing individualized teaching and companion-based growth. He has successfully helped many students achieve top grades and smoothly gain acceptance to their desired schools.
Genie Huang
DSE English & IELTS Teacher
Genie joined ISA Science City International School in August 2026 as a DSE English Teacher in the Secondary School. She holds a Master’s degree in Translation and Bilingual Communication from Hong Kong Baptist University. Being proficient in trilingual communication (Mandarin, Cantonese, and English) and biliterate in Chinese and English, she possesses TEM-8 certification, a TEFL Advanced Diploma, a National High School Teaching Qualification, and an International Chinese Language Teacher Certificate.
With nearly a decade of frontline experience in international education, Genie has taught at a university and at international schools in Zhuhai, specializing in DSE, IELTS, and A-Level English, alongside courses in university English, translation, and literature. Over the past four years, she has focused intensively on the HKDSE assessment framework and marking schemes, guiding multiple student cohorts to achieve significant progress.
Adhering to a student-centered philosophy, Genie excels at active listening and flexibly tailoring study plans to individual needs, balancing exam techniques with practical language proficiency. Committed to building strong rapport with students, she strives to help every learner advance their English competence in a supportive and engaging environment.
Shea Wu
DSE Chinese & CSD & History Teacher
Shea holds a Master’s degree in Teaching Chinese Language and Culture from University College Dublin (UCD). She previously taught at a local secondary school in Dublin, Ireland. Upon returning to China, she served at a renowned international school, specializing in both the Chinese National Curriculum and the HKDSE Chinese curriculum, while gaining extensive experience in CSL and second-language programs.
As a Chinese teacher with a diverse background, Shea is dedicated to breaking away from the constraints of rote memorization and dogmatic standard answers in traditional language education. Driven by the philosophy that "Language learning is not merely about mechanical tools, but a philosophical discipline of cognition," she excels at integrating academic frameworks and IB inquiry-based approaches into daily teaching. Committed to student-centered education, she utilizes heuristic methods to guide students toward deep critical thinking beyond text.
